O que é uma cota de vendas?
As you read about sales quota definitions, you'll find that many definitions reduce a sales quota to a specific type, even though there are actually many levels at which you can set quotas.

A sales quota refers to a target number related to sales that is set within a specific period.

This time period can be yearly, quarterly , monthly, weekly or even daily.


The number can be set for an individual sales representative and/or for a sales team as a whole.

It can be defined at the input level (activities, e.g. calls, meetings, ...), at the output level (sales results, e.g. revenue, gross margin, ...) or at any intermediate level (lead-to-deal metrics, e.g. amount of new opportunities, sales cycle length, closing rate, ...).

If you tell your salespeople to “close some deals” without specifying how many deals to close and by when, they won’t know at any point whether or not they need to improve their performance. You’ll most likely find them sitting around drinking coffee.
